CHOICE CAC APPROVED PCGS MS63 1901-O $10

Housed in an old green label holder and an MS63+ by today’s standards, in my opinion.

This is among the most common New Orleans eagles. It is available in grades up through MS64 but Gems are very rare.

This piece shows very light scuffs and it clearly is not one of the pieces from overseas hoards which have entered the market in the last two decades. The color is excellent and the overall eye appeal is superior for the date and grade.

The only CAC approved 1901-O eagle in PCGS MS63 to sell at auction brought $2,880 as Heritage 2019 ANA: 4767. It was very scuffy and far less attractive than the current example.

Here is a perfect higher grade type coin for the collector seeking a single choice With Motto eagle from New Orleans.

CAC has approved 23 in this grade with seven finer.
