PCGS/CAC MS65 1877-CC QUARTER
The 1877-CC is among the most available Quarters from the Carson City Mint. In Gem it is moderately scarce, but it is hard to locate MS65 examples which have been approved by CAC.
This piece shows deep golden color with some greenish undertones on the obverse; the reverse is a lighter shade of gold. Both sides are lustrous and the surfaces are very clean.
Just a single PCGS/CAC MS65 1877-CC quarter has sold at auction and it realized $2,640 as Stack’s Bowers 3/2019: 7174.
CAC has approved seven in this grade with 16 finer.
