For all but a few well-heeled collectors, the 1875-CC represents the sole Carson City Twenty Cent Piece available. This popular issue is reasonable available in grades through MS64, and it appeals to a broad range of collectors.
This example is frosty with a dusting of rose-gold color which is a bit deeper on the obverse than it is on the reverse. The strike is soft at the central reverse and on the top of the eagle’s right wing, and there are a few light contact marks in the left obverse field.
The two most recent APRs for this date in non-CAC PCGS MS64 are an identical $4,320; one in November 2020, the other in August 2020.
