VERY RARE GEM CAC APPROVED PCGS MS66 TRADE DOLLAR IN AN OLD HOLDER

A numismatically significant issue due to its status as the first Trade Dollar from Philadelphia, the 1873 is very rare as a Gem as evidenced by the current PCGS population figures of 18 in MS65/66 combined, as well as a single Superb piece in PCGS/CAC MS67 (!).

Housed I an old green label holder, this incredible coin has strongly reflective surfaces that are covered with natural medium grey color which shades to lavender and orange-gold. The strike is sharp and the overall eye appeal is exceptional for the date and grade.
