NGC AU58 1879-CC HALF EAGLE
This is the most available CC half eagle from this decade but it is very scarce in properly graded AU58 and very rare in any Uncirculated grade.
This yellow-gold slider is frosty with light wear limited to the relief details in the obverse. The surfaces lack all but the smallest abrasions although there is a circular scratch over star one and another too the right of the nine in the date.
The last NGC AU58 1879-CC half eagle to sell at auction was a choicer example which realized $11,750 as Heritage 9/16: 14105.
If you can even locate this date in Uncirculated, it is likely to be priced at nearly twice the level of this AU58.
