NICE EF40 1851-C GOLD DOLLAR WITH CAC APPROVAL

Housed in an old green label holder and, in my opinion, a solid EF45 by today's standards.

The 1851-C gold dollar is far and away the most available issue of any denomination struck at the Charlotte mint. It is easily located in EF grades but not often with deep natural color.

This well-defined example shows appealing natural deep russet color on the obverse and the reverse. There is no luster to speak of but the surfaces are choice and the eye appeal is excellent.

A non-CAC PCGS EF40 1851-C dollar in an old PCGS holder sold for $1,528 as Heritage 9/16: 4399.

Nice quality for the grade and the best available 1851-C dollar at this reasonable price point.

CAC has approved one in this grade with 49 finer.

Ex Heritage 6/13: 5532 at $1,645.

PLEASE ADD $25 FOR SHIPPING ON ALL COINS PRICED AT $2,500 AND LOWER.
