GEM 1911 QUARTER EAGLE, PCGS/CAC/OGH

Housed in an old green label holder and very choice for the assigned grade.

The 1911 quarter eagle is somewhat scarce in MS65 but it is almost impossible to locate above this level. Many of the recently-graded MS65's are low-end and this has conspired to drag down levels for this date in this grade.

This frosty Gem has exceptional natural orange-gold color and the surfaces lack the bevy of small nicks and cuts so typical to this issue.

The last two CAC approved 1911 quarter eagles in PCGS MS65 sold at auction for $4,320 (9/17) and $4,700 (7/17) but these were far less choice than the current piece.

Here is a coin with all the "bells and whistles," not to mention great eye appeal.

CAC has approved 54 in this grade with none finer.
