This date is far scarcer than the 1891-CC in this grade yet it sells for just a small premium.
This frosty slider has excellent color and surfaces and I have seen inferior 1890-CC half eagles graded MS61 by both services.
A CAC approved PCGS AU58 1890-CC sold for $18,00 as Heritage 9/17: 4886. This was the only PCGS AU58 example to sell at auction since July 2014.
CAC has approved 13 in this grade with 51 finer.
