1854 HALF EAGLE WITH A GOLD CAC STICKER
Housed in an old green label holder and, in my opinion, an AU53 by today's standards.
This orange-gold example shows a slightly rotated reverse, as made. It has an especially choice reverse which grades a full AU55 in my opinion.
Just three 1854 half eagles have been awarded a Gold CAC sticker and all three (!) are offered for sale here.
CAC has approved 7 in this grade with 44 finer. 3 have been given Gold stickers: 2 in EF45 and 1 in AU50.
