EXCITING PCGS MS60 GOLD CAC 1907 HIGH RELIEF DOUBLE EAGLE IN AN OLD GREEN LABEL HOLDER

In today’s coin market, everyone wants items which are replete with all the “bells and whistles.” Whether this means coins in old holders, coins with great eye appeal or coins with stories, pieces which combine two or more of these “extras” are highly desirable. This wonderful High Relief has everything going for it that today’s collector seeks.

Housed in an old green label holder, this PCGS MS60 Wire Rim High Relief grades at least a point or two higher by today’s standards as is evidenced by CAC’s awarding it a coveted gold sticker.  Just as an FYI, a PCGS MS62 High Relief is worth between $17,000 and $19,000 depending on quality.

I don’t need to explain the historic or aesthetic significance of America’s most beautiful coin. Suffice to say, there aren’t many collectors of means who haven’t dreamed of owning a High Relief, let alone one with all the “bells and whistles” like this one.

As of January 2017, CAC has awarded four Gold stickers to High Reliefs of which three (60-62-63) are for the more common Wire Rim variety.
