The 1892-CC is similar in rarity to the 1890-CC but both dates are far less available than the 1891-CC. The 1892-CC is seemingly available in AU58 but most coins which are graded as such are not choice.
This gently worn slider exhibits nice natural reddish color at the obverse border while the reverse is a more even yellow and green-gold. Both sides are lustrous and show just a few shallow marks.
No CAC approved PCGS AU58 examples of this date have sold at auction in recent years. Non-CAC PCGS 58's trade in the $2,750-3,250 range depending on quality.
A nice MS61 1892-CC would cost at least double the price of this AU58 and I doubt that you would see significant differences.
CAC has approved 14 in this grade with 8 finer.
