NICELY PEDIGREED 1890 QUARTER EAGLE

Only 8,720 quarter eagles were made for circulation in 1890. This date is not often seen in grades higher than MS62 to MS63.

This fresh-to-the-market example was last sold in 1989 (see pedigree below) and it is a very choice, high end example with nice surfaces and pleasing natural orange-gold and pale green color.

Another PCGS MS62CAC 1890 quarter eagle sold for $940 as Heritage 8/15: 8194. In my opinion, the piece I am offering is nicer.

Great value for the quarter eagle specialist.

CAC has approved four in this grade with nine finer.

Ex Stacks/Superior 12/88 Charles Kramer sale, Lot 208. The original Capital Plastic holder is included.
