PCGS/CAC EF45 1856 DOUBLE EAGLE
While not as scarce as it was before hoards entered the market in 2019-20, the 1856 is still a tougher date and it is far harder to locate than the 1850-1854 Philadelphia issues.
This piece appears to be undergraded and it a solid AU50, in my opinion. Both sides show nice natural color and there is a good amount of mint luster below the toning.
CAC has approved 8 in this grade with 81 finer.
