The 1859 is plentiful in the lowest Uncirculated grades but it is a scarce issue in MS63 to MS64 and it is basically unavailable any finer.
This example looks more like an MS64 than an MS63 in my opinion, with excellent frosty luster and natural rose and green-gold hues. A few stray scuffs do not detract from this coin's excellent overall appearance.
There have been 10 auction appearances for MS63 1859 Threes since 2011 but not a single one of these coins have been approved by CAC.
For most advanced collectors of this series, this is a perfect choice to fill your 1859 slot!
