VIVIDLY TONED 1907 NO PERIODS EAGLE

The 1907 No Periods (or "No Motto") eagle is available in higher grades but it is in strong demand as both a type coin and an issue which is popular with date collectors.

When this issue comes nice, it can be amongst the most attractive Indian Head eagles. This frosty Gem is undipped yet very bright and vivid (we used to call coins like this "headlights" back in the day....) with superb rich orange-gold color framing rose centers. I personally see no reason why this coin isn't graded a full MS66 as it shows nearly no consequential marks and it has great overall eye appeal.

The last NGC MS65+ example of this issue to sell at auction brought $9,429 as Newman V: 3328 in late 2014; it was approved by CAC. More recently, two non-CAC PCGS MS65+ examples sold for $7,638 in 2016 and $9,988 in 2015.

This exceptional coin would make a great type representative.
