POPULAR COLLECTOR GRADE 1876-CC EAGLE
This popular Centennial year issue is scarce in all grades with just 75-85 known from a mintage of 4,696 coins.
In my opinion, this coin seems undergraded as it shows the same amount of central detail seen on 1876-CC eagles in F15 or even VF20 holders. The surfaces are clean and choice for the grade while the visual appeal is excellent.
An NGC F12 1876-CC eagle sold for $3,450 as Heritage 4/12: 6727. A PCGS F15 which looked more like a VG08 coin in my opinion realized $3,760 as Heritage 9/16: 4892.
This is an excellent value at under $4,000.
