SCARCE 1881-CC HALF EAGLE WITH CAC APPROVAL

The 1881-CC is the scarcest half eagle struck at the Carson City mint after 1878. Collector grade examples are available but they tend to be bright and unappealing.

This choice EF40 has clean, unabraded surfaces below natural russet-rose hues. There is some dirt in the protected areas and the eye appeal is excellent for the grade.

Heritage 2014 ANA: 3938 sold for $3,055 and it was not CAC approved.

An affordable yet very tough CC half eagle for the savvy collector.

CAC has approved this 1 coin in EF40 with 12 finer.
