Variety 1; Small Head.
The 1834 is the most available date in the short-lived Classic Head quarter eagle series, making it ideal for type purposes. It is available with some regularity in AU58 but most seen at this grade level are not choice.
This example is housed in an old green label holder and it is choice for the grade with light wear and nice natural green-gold color over mostly reflective surfaces.
The last CAC approved PCGS 58 1834 Classic Head quarter eagle to sell at auction brought $2,291 as Heritage 1/16: 6355.
