The 1892-CC is similar in scarcity to the 1890-CC eagle. It is not really a hard issue to locate in AU grades but compared to the 1891-CC it is seen far less often.
This lightly worn example has enough remaining luster to suggest an AU55 grade. The surfaces are nice and the eye appeal is excellent.
Only one PCGS AU53 1892-CC eagle has sold at auction since 2009. A non-CAC NGC AU53 realized $2,185 as Scotsman 7/16: 824.
CAC has approved three in this grade with 35 finer.
