HIGH GRADE 1904-O EAGLE
The 1904-O is one of the three most available New Orleans With Motto eagles along with the 1901-O and the 1903-O. But it is scarcer than these two dates in MS63 and it is actually a rare issue in MS64.
This is a solid example for the grade with thick, frosty luster below natural orange-gold and light green-gold color. With the exception of some minor scuffs in the near left obverse field, the surfaces are uncommonly choice.
The last PCGS MS63 1904-O eagle to sell at auction brought $3,055 as Heritage 2015 ANA: 6267.
Good value at under $3,000 and a nice type coin for the type collector seeking a single high grade example of the popular With Motto eagle from the New Orleans mint.
