NEAT “LOWBALL” 1839-C HALF EAGLE
The 1839-C is a numismatically significant half eagle as it is a one-year type with the mintmark on the obverse. It is scarce and popular.
This example is, by far, the most worn 1839-C half eagle of which I am aware and it is perfect for a “lowball” Registry Set. Despite its considerable wear, it is still legible and amazingly free of problems.
