Narrow Mill variety. This piece has the appearance of a Broad Mill but it is actually the more available Narrow Mill as evidenced by the position and shape of the mintmark.
Lustrous and struck in green-gold with some orange-gold toning on the high spots. A bit softly struck, as typical, but a solid coin for the grade and a nice example of this highly undervalued first-year-of-issue New Orleans half eagle.
