This common date becomes uncommon in properly graded AU58, especially with natural color and choice surfaces.
This exceptional Gem Slider has the eye appeal and naked-eye appearance of a coin graded MS61 or even MS62. It shows virtually full luster, has no real wear to speak of and is attractively toned in natural fiery orange-gold hues. The strike is razor sharp and the eye appeal is far above average.
An NGC AU58 with CAC approval sold for $5,875 as Heritage 1/13: 6888.
I was recently offered a PCGS MS62 example of this issue (at more than double my asking price for this NGC 58+) and I like my coin far, far better.
CAC has approved 10 in AU58 (including at least this one 58+) with just one finer (MS63).
