The 1893-CC is numismatically significant as the final half eagle made at the Carson City mint. It is a reasonably common date but it is far harder to find than the generic 1891-CC half eagle.
This gem slider has the appearance of an MS61 to MS62 coin with nearly full luster, choice surfaces and lovely natural orange-gold color which deepens to red at the left obverse border.
An OGH PCGS AU58 brought $2,820 as Heritage 3/14: 30347. A PCGS AU58 without CAC approval sold for $1,939 as Heritage 1/15: 7119.
A perfect type coin for the collector who wants to own a really cosmetic 1893-CC half eagle.
