The 1852-O is a common date in the middle to higher AU grades but it is not often seen with original color and surfaces.
This piece has a spectacular appearance for the date and grade with very deep green-gold color on the obverse and reverse. It is well struck and very clean with no appreciable marks and virtually no wear. I think it could easily grade AU58 if resubmitted.
Expensive for the assigned grade but this sort of quality is almost never seen in today’s market.
CAC has approved four in this grade with 11 finer.
