TIED FOR LOWEST GRADED 1849-C HALF EAGLE

As a rule, Charlotte coinage didn't circulate extensively and it is unusual to see pieces of any denomination in grades lower than Fine to Very Fine.

This is among the most worn Charlotte half eagles of any date that I have seen. It has smooth, natural-appearing surfaces with all details visible and a nice naked-eye look.
