GOLD CAC 1893-CC HALF EAGLE

This is the final year of issue for coinage at the fabled Carson City mint and the 1893-CC is many times harder to locate than the common 1891-CC. It is certainly not scarce in the AU55-MS61 range but locating nice, original pieces isn’t easy.

This example is housed in an older green label holder and I grade it a very solid AU58 with strong claims to an MS61 grade. It shows lovely deep rose and orange-gold color with much luster seen on both sides.

A “normal” PCGS/CAC AU55 1893-CC is worth around $3,550 and none have ever sold with a gold CAC sticker.

This would be a perfect type coin for the collector who wants a special CC half eagle.

This is the only 1893-CC half eagle to have been given a gold sticker by CAC.
