1820 Half Eagle NGC MS62

It would be hard to imagine a finer example of this date or type. While "only" graded MS62, this 1820 half eagle is nicer than coins we have seen in MS63 and MS64 holders.

1799 Half Eagle NGC MS60

Magnificently toned with rich coppery-gold color on the obverse and reverse. At DWN, we appreciate originality and handle many incredible early gold coins with great eye appeal.

1846-D Half Eagle PCGS MS62

Few people are aware of the true rarity of this variety in Uncirculated. This is the finest known of just two or three that are accounted for in Mint State.

1858-C Half Eagle PCGS MS62

Charlotte coins from the Elrod Collection are considered especially desirable by collectors. While not the finest known, this piece has superb color and surfaces.

1842-C Half Eagle NGC MS65

There are just a handful of true Gem Charlotte half eagle known and DWN has handled many of these. This piece was graded MS65 by NGC and is easily the finest 1842-C Large Date half eagle that exists.

This is the second finest known example of a date that is exceedingly rare in Uncirculated grades. Doug Winter has written the standard reference on Carson City gold and is recognized as the world's leading expert on these coins.

1893-CC Half Eagle PCGS MS62

In 1893, the Carson City mint was closed. Half Eagles from this year are not especially scarce but this example is premium for the grade with great coloration and luster.
