POPULAR PCGS/CAC AU53 1854-O HALF EAGLE, ex Fairmont

There have been no less than six PCGS/CAC AU53 examples of this date in the various Fairmont auctions since 2020, and they have all had excellent eye appeal for an issue which typically comes processed. Once the supply dries up (and this appears to be the case as of late 2025), you’ll wish you had bought one as the 1854-O has proven to be a tricky issue to locate in the AU53-55 range with natural color and choice surfaces.                                                            

CAC has approved seven in this grade with 15 finer.
