The 1869-S is common in nearly all circulated grades but it is not often seen with natural color and surfaces.
This deeply toned example has a rich “Euro” appearance with rich orange-gold fields and darker two-tone highlights. There is not much wear seen but some scuffs are visible on both sides.
This date becomes expensive in Uncirculated grades and for most collectors, a nice AU55 such as this represents the best value grade.
