The 1854-O is an important standalone issue as it is the only Three Dollars gold piece produced at the New Orleans mint. It is a relatively available issue in EF grades but probably no more than 10% of the known survivors are choice and original.
This evenly worn example show nice natural russet color atop problem-free surfaces. It is a textbook coin for the grade with better eye appeal than most seen in EF45 holders.
No PCGS EF45 with CAC approval has sold at auction in recent years. Average quality PCGS 45′s without CAC stickers normally bring in the $2,650-2,900 range.
