The 1895-O is comparable in overall and high grade rarity to the 1892-O and 1893-O eagles. It is scarce in properly graded MS62, rare in MS63 and essentially unobtainable finer.

This satiny example show medium orange-gold color which deepens towards the borders. There are some ticks in the right obverse field and a reeding mark on the reverse to the right of the mintmark.

No PCGS MS62 1895-O eagles with CAC approval have sold at auction in recent memory. The last non-CAC PCGS example realized $1,998 as Heritage 4/14: 6169.

CAC has approved 10 in this grade with three finer (all graded MS63).
