While more available than the 1894-O, the 1895-O is not an easy coin to locate, especially in properly graded MS62. It is seldom seen in MS63 and is unavailable above this level.
This is a pleasing and very original example with “Euro” coloration without the dark “smudginess” sometimes seen on the high spots. The luster is nearly full and the surfaces are above average save for a few contact marks on the obverse below stars five and six.
Non-CAC examples of this date in MS62 trade in the $1,400-1,600 range depending on quality and appearance.
CAC has approved nine in this grade with just one finer (MS63).
