This scarce Civil War issue has an original mintage of 5,000. It is the most available Three Dollar issue from this era but it is much harder to locate than some of the low mintage issues from the 1870′s and 1880′s, not to mention more popular.
This is a choice, pleasing piece with natural color and surfaces. It is problem-free with even wear and excellent eye appeal.
No PCGS or NGC example graded EF45 has been sold at auction since 2005.
CAC has approved this one example in EF45 with 19 finer.
