The 1876-CC Trade Dollar is an issue which is seen most often in lower grades. Nice AU pieces are scarce and this issue is almost never seen with natural color and choice surfaces.
This choice example shows dappled golden-grey color atop choice, lightly worn surfaces. A few old marks in the left obverse field are well-concealed by the toning.
No straight-graded PCGS AU50 1876-CC Trade Dollar has sold at auction in many years.
This is the nicest available quality for this popular Centennial issue at less than $2,000.
