CAC APPROVED CHOICE AU 1893-CC HALF EAGLE
The 1893-CC is numismatically significant as the final half eagle struck at the Carson City mint. It is comparable in overall rarity to the 1890-CC and 1892-CC and it is not often seen with natural color and choice surfaces.
This is a Gem slider with rich natural reddish color which is deepest at the obverse border. The surfaces are clean and lustrous and this piece has better overall eye appeal than on most seen in MS61 or even MS62 holders.
No CAC approved AU58 1893-CC half eagles have sold recently at auction. A nice PCGS AU58 without a sticker realized $2,350 as Heritage 2017 FUN: 6832.
CAC has approved 21 in AU58 with 14 higher.
