COLLECTOR GRADE 1875-CC HALF EAGLE WITH CAC APPROVAL
The 1875-CC is a scarcer date than the 1871-CC and 1874-CC half eagles and in higher grades it is priced at a point which is out of reach for many collectors..
This well-used example is a coin you truly wish could tell you where it has been. While worn down into the stars on the obverse, it has a sharp date and mintmark plus a wholesome, natural appearance.
Stacks Bowers 2016 ANA: 435 was also graded VG10 but it lacked CAC approval and was not as nice as this coin. It realized $1,998.
An affordable example of a scarce early date CC half eagle.
CAC has approved three in this grade with eight finer.
