CHOICE EF 1882-CC HALF EAGLE WITH CAC APPROVAL

The 1882-CC is the most available of the five Carson City half eagles made during the 1880's. In EF grades, this date is reasonably available but few are seen with dark, natural coloration.

This crusty, original example exhibits a nice, natural two-tone appearance with dark russet centers framed by darker reddish-gold hues at the borders.

No CAC approved PCGS EF45 1882-CC half eagle has sold at auction. Typical quality non-CAC pieces trade in the $1,250-1,750 range.

CAC has approved 8 in this grade with 48 finer.
