PCGS MS61 1852-C HALF EAGLE

Variety 1.

The 1852-C is the most available Charlotte half eagle in Uncirculated. This fact, combined with its typically good manufacture, makes it ideal for the type collector.

This is an emphatically new coin with nice yellow gold color and thick, frosty luster. There are some marks which are consistent with the grade but the eye appeal is excellent.

Only two have sold at auction in PCGS MS61 since 2006. In June 2014, Heritage 6/14: 4828 realized $6,463 while nearly a decade earlier ANR 3/06:1620 brought $6,613.
