CONDITIONALLY RARE PCGS/CAC MS64+ 1906-O $10
The 1906-O is the final issue of this denomination to be produced at the New Orleans mint. It is common in grades up through MS62, while it is scarce in MS63 and MS64. Gems are very rare, and the finest two I am aware of are a pair of PCGS MS66 coins; one in the New England Collection, and the other owned by the Tyrant Collection.
This PQ example shows glowing light green-gold and yellow-gold coloration over frosty, vibrant surfaces. A few shallow marks are seen in the inner left obverse field and on the cheek of Liberty.
Heritage 2012 ANA: 4691 was a non-CAC PCGS MS64 that sold for $9,200, while an NGC MS64—also non-CAC—brought $12,925 as Heritage 12/2013: 3872.
CAC has approved eight in MS64 (including this MS64+) with five finer.
