AFFORDABLE CACG PR62 1861 PATTERN $10, J-287

J-287, High R-6. Copper, Reeded Edge.

Regular dies except with the motto GOD OUR TRUST is on the reverse. The motto was, of course, changed to IN GOD WE TRUST and it began to appear on all US coins on whcih it was able to fit.

This piece is more accurately graded PR62 obverse/PR65 reverse.

An important companion piece for the advanced $10 Lib collector.
