VERY NICE CACG MS61 1857-O QUARTER EAGLE

This issue is the final quarter eagle produced at the New Orleans mint. It is available in grades through MS62, but many of the coins in MS60 and MS61 holders are not Uncirculated, in my opinion.

This rich yellow-gold example is as nice as other 1857-O quarter eagles that reside in MS62 holders. It is 100% original with rich yellow and green-gold hues over clean, frosty surfaces.

No CAC approved MS61 1857-O quarter eagle in MS61 has ever sold at auction.

CAC has approved four in this grade with seven finer.
