The 1893-O eagle is comparable in rarity to the 1892-O. It is available in MS62 although most examples are low end with heavy abrasions and impaired luster. In MS63, this date is rare.
This choice, frosty example has rich orange-gold color with darker highlights, probably from storage in a bank vault. The luster is frosty while the surfaces show only minor scuffs.
There are no auction records for this date in MS62 with CAC approval. A nice quality non-CAC in PCGS MS62 usually sells in the $1,500-1,700 range.
CAC has approved nine in this grade with none higher.
