The 1892-O is similar in rarity to the 1893-O eagle. It is easy to locate in MS60 and MS61, somewhat scarce in MS62 and very rare in properly graded MS63.
This is a high end example for the date and grade with nice mint frost over slightly abraded surfaces. This piece is closer to being an MS63 than it is an MS62 and it has nice color and good overall eye appeal.
The last PCGS MS62 example to sell was ex Heritage 1/14: 6925 which realized $2,115. An NGC MS62 brought $2,820 as Heritage 2/14: 5446.
CAC has approved 22 in this grade with none finer.
