The 1874-CC is the most available early date Carson City half eagle but it is still considerably more scarce than any other post-1878 date with the exception of the 1881-CC.

This is a well-worn but pleasing lower grade example with problem-free surfaces and a natural appearance. This piece was clearly in circulation for many years but it appears uncleaned and natural.

A comparable PCGS F15 example without CAC approval fetched $2,115 as Heritage 12/13: 5049.

A nice, affordable early CC half eagle.

CAC has approved one in this grade with 16 finer.
