The 1874-CC is the most obtainable Carson City eagle from the 1870′s but it is still scarcer than any of the 1880′s dates.
This well worn example is still well detailed and its clean, choice surfaces show pleasing natural orange-gold color. If this coin could talk, imagine what stories it could tell!
A comparable VG10 with CAC approval, this one graded by PCGS, sold for $2,185 as Heritage 7/12: 5003.
