AFFORDABLE 1871-CC HALF EAGLE
The 1871-CC saw the most extensive circulation of any early date Carson City half eagle and it is seen with some frequency in very low grades.
This well-worn example is clean and problem-free with natural color and smooth surfaces. The letters in LIBERTY are all clear but the reverse shows wear into the top of UNITED.
No VG08 1871-CC half eagles have sold at auction. A non-CAC NGC VG10 brought $1,783 as Heritage 6/14: 5705.
