RARE 1856-C QUARTER EAGLE

A total of 7,791 1856-C quarter eagles were made and this is the third rarest Charlotte quarter eagle in terms of overall rarity.

This choice VF example would likely have graded EF40 were it not for a slight mint-made rim irregularity at 10:00 on the obverse.

No PCGS VF35 1856-C quarter eagle has ever sold at auction. An NGC VF35 brought $1,705 as Lot 4790 in Heritage’s 9/12 auction.

Please add $25.00 for shipping on all invoices totaling less than $2500.
