SLEEPER 1867 QUARTER EAGLE

The 1867 quarter eagle is one of the true “sleepers” in the entire Liberty Head gold field. Don’t believe me…check to see how few have sold at auction in the last 10+ years.

This piece is clearly an EF40 to EF45 but it has been net graded by PCGS as a result of some old marks on the obverse; these are partially hidden by deep golden-orange color.

No VF35 has ever sold at auction. One EF40 has sold since 2001 and one EF45 has crossed the block since 1992.

An unusual opportunity to purchase an affordable 1867 quarter eagle.

Please add $25.00 for shipping on all invoices totaling less than $2500.
