The Indian Rocks Beach Collection of Dahlonega Coinage

Douglas Winter Numismatics is pleased to announce its most recent Concierge Sale™, which features the Indian Rocks Beach Collection of Dahlonega gold. Comprised of close to 50 different coins, the collection contains a partial date run of gold dollars and quarter eagles as well as an outstanding nearly complete run of half eagles including a number of rare mintmark varieties.

The majority of the coins have been graded by PCGS and almost half have been approved by CAC. There are coins for nearly every budget with many in the $5,000-10,000 range, which is popular with Dahlonega collectors.

The collection is very sophisticated in that it features many truly rare and currently under-appreciated half eagle varieties. There are examples of both the Small D and Tall D 1840-D, an 1841-D Tall D, an 1843-D Medium D and Small D, an 1854-D Medium D and Large D, an 1855-D Medium D, and an 1860-D Medium D and Large D. Many of these rare varieties are in high grades; typically in the AU53 to AU58 range.
